Site Survey For 35WMac Floating PV Power Plant (FPVPP) and High – Voltage Air Transmission Line In The Tembesi Reservoir Area
In July 2023, Batam Island will make strong efforts to adopt clean and sustainable energy. The Arfy team, coordinated by PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk, has succeeded in carrying out a comprehensive survey in the area. The aim is to investigate land suitable for the construction of a high voltage substation, a Floating Solar Power Plant (Floating PLTS) with an impressive capacity of 35 MWac, and a high voltage overhead transmission line that crosses the Tembesi reservoir area. This initiation marks an important milestone in the region’s journey towards more environmentally friendly and sustainable energy solutions.
To ensure the success of this project, the Arfy team adopted advanced drone technology. This technology is used to capture stunning landscape images, ensuring that every important detail is documented with high precision. The results of these surveys provide a better understanding of the topography and characteristics of the region, allowing for ideal land selection and careful infrastructure planning.
However, the success of this project depends not only on technology and survey accuracy. Close collaboration with PT PLN Batam, a local electricity provider, is a key factor in this project. The integration of the 35 MWac PLTS with the existing local electricity grid operating at a high voltage of 150kV is a remarkable technical achievement and shows the power of cooperation between the public and private sectors.
